Blogger's Quilt Festival-Round 2

This is the second quilt I am entering in the Blogger's Quilt Festival.  I made this quilt for one of my daughters, Emily.  When I really got into quilting last year, she was the one always by my side asking for my scraps so I knew that she would be the first of my kids to get her own quilt.  So this is the quilt for her twin size bed:

Fall Blogger's Quilt Festival

Last fall was the first time I heard about the blogger's quilt festival over at Amy's Creative Side.  It is a great place for lots of yummy quilt inspiration and I have found quite a few quilty blogs to follow because of the blogger's quilt festival.  So here's my first entry for the festival for the baby quilt category.  I made this one over the summer for one of my sweet nephews who I will finally get to meet next month, yay!!  This is my first quilt that I quilted on my own machine, just diagonal lines, and used my machine to sew on the binding instead of by hand since I thought it might be washed a bit more than a typical quilt.  You can read more about it here and here.

Marmalade baby quilts

I finished up these two baby blankets for a customer through my etsy shop.  She has twin girls and wanted these to be a little bit bigger to use for the crib/toddler conversion beds.  I still LOVE this marmalade line so they were fun to make.  The back is a pink minky dot fabric. They will be so soft and snuggly for her girls:)

(I love my daughter's socks sticking out at the bottom!!)

October goal

My goal this month is to finish up a few baby blankets. I've got this marmalade patchwork up on my wall right now.  I have a custom order to make two of these patchwork blankets for twin girls, so cute:)  I'd also like to add another patchwork blanket to my shop.  Three blankets this month, I better get sewing!  I'm linking up here:
