Beach Day

I did this one of Haley at the beach on one of our trips to Cali. I used a sketch from the Page Maps blog and used the challenge on the Scrapbooks Etc. site to incorporate another craft on your LO. I also love to sew so I sewed on a piece of fabric to hold the journaling. I finally gave in to using some of my Echo Park goodies!

This one is just a simple one but I love these pics of the kids. Sketch is from this month's sketch at Memorable Seasons by Liz Chidester.

Can U Fix it???

I used a sketch for this one that was on the Crate Paper blog. Haley is playing with Tyler's Bob the Builder toys. The title I took from the Bob the Builder song and I cut out the letters from the patterned paper. Most of the papers are from the Little Sprout line.

Smile

I have been saving some of the kids' projects and other papers from school but not many of them have actually ended up on many of my scrapbook pages. So I accepted the challenge over on the Cosmo Cricket blog to make a LO using some kids artwork or project that they did. This is Tyler's school picture this year along with some questions that he answered and filled out at the beginning of the school year. I can't wait to do more of these type of layouts with school work and projects. I love having his point of view on there and his handwriting too. I used some papers and accents from the Boyfriend and Lil' Man lines.

Thursday, November 25, 2010

This LO was for this week's challenge on the American Crafts blog to show something you are grateful for. Of course I chose my family. I cut out some shapes from the letterbox patterned paper and some butterflies too and of course used some thickers too.

Boating

A little boating excursion. As you can see, Haley was pretty skeptical about the whole boating experience. Tyler, however, had a great time tubing. I used a sketch from the Bo Bunny blog for their LO challenge that was posted here. I used some of my older papers from the Pep Rally and Grease Monkey lines.

Love Bugs

My little "love bugs!" The kids made these hats as one of our preschool crafts. I used a sketch from Page Maps. Not my typical color combo but I saw the colors together on a My Mind's Eye accessory sheet so that's what I went with. Papers are My Mind's Eye and Jillibean Soup.

Play More

I played along at My Mind's Eye Blog challenge. You were to use this sketch and scrap something about a lesson learned, using at least 80% of MME product. These are pictures of Haley playing outside. The journaling reads: What I love about you: That you remind me to have fun, laugh, be silly, and to be myself. I have learned to "play more" because of my kids!!
I combined quite a few MME lines: Little Boy blue, So sophie, and Ooo La La.

Sketches and more sketches

Tyler loves to look out the front window so see what action is going on outside. He can't miss any piece of action or adventure!! I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays and also had to use yellow and a handmade embellie. I made my first fabric flower. Loved how it turned out and will definitely make more!! I also made this for the Camp Paradise challenge going on at Croppin Paradise to use a song title on my layout. I just googled the word window and this one worked perfect for my layout.
I used a sketch #112 from Creative Scrappers for this little pumpkins layout. I combined it with another Camp Paradise challenge to use a cardstock base, 3 different embellies (one had to be bling) and 2 handmade flowers.

For my Leavenworth layout (which is the name of the town we visited), I used the sketch for this week at Nuts About Sketches (By the way, there is a DT call going on right now for it, go check it out!! Shawn has some awesome sketches every week.) I also combined it with another Camp Paradise challenge. I used ribbon, ink, an envelope and made some embellies.

Week 116-Not crazy about how this one turned out, but hey it's done and Haley likes it. Papers are Stampin' Up and the flowers were cut out from patterned paper.

June Layouts

This one I used a sketch from Sketch Inspiration for this of the first time we went and cut down our Christmas tree. Yes, it looks more like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but it was definitely worth the experience!!

This one I used a sketch from Scrapbookdeals4U of the first day of snow in '06!

This one I used a sketch that was posted over at Memorable Seasons, I just rotated it. I also submitted this one for Camp Rock week #3 over at Scrapbookdeals4U which was to use at least 3 pics, stars, and the title of a Lady Gaga song (I had to look that one up!!)

This one was for Scrapbookdeals4U week #2 of Camp Rock. The rules were to use the title Forever Young or Young Forever, at least 2 pics (having to do with something being young-I thought Tyler and Ryan throwing snowballs definitely qualified), and you had to use a sketch from the May or June Pagemaps.

This one was from Camp Rock week#4 which was to use a picture of a prince or princess (this picture of Haley in the "princess" chair was perfect for it), prince or princess in your title (with a prominent letter P), a lot of pink or purple, petals (flowers) or pinwheels, polka dots or paisley, pleats or pearls, and paint or punches (I painted the crown chipboard and added glitter). I also used a sketch from the Scrappiest.

Chelan County Fair

Here's another one from the county fair, this one of Tyler though. I used a sketch #68 from The Scrappiest and also a challenge at ScrapbookDeals4U to make your own scalloped circle. I love the way this one turned out!

Nuts About Sketches #115

My take on this week's sketch. Pics are Haley at the Chelan County Fair. She loved the horses but not so much the cows. Just too big and up close for her, I think! And of course the kettle corn was a big hit. I also combined this sketch with a challenge over at Scrapbook Deals4U to use the colors green, pink, yellow, and blue.

Nuts About Sketches #114

This is from the sketch from Nuts About Sketches for this week. I just used the right side of the sketch and rotated it. I also entered this one for the LSS contest at Memorable Seasons
The theme was "An American Child" and you had to use stars and stripes on your LO so that's why I went for the Made in USA title. All of the stars are either punched out or stamped and the big star I just traced. Loved getting so many pics on there!!
