So I took the ironing board makeover challenge over at Bonnie's Cotton Way blog. I haven't done a "quick" project in a while and it felt good to finish something, unlike a quilt, which takes quite a while. I used Bonnie's patchwork pattern for this project and it was pretty easy to follow:) Ok, so here's the before and the after. I don't know if you can see all of the pen coloring from my girls on there:) I used Riley Blake medium dots grey fabric and then some aqua and white fabrics from my stash for the patchwork.
Love how it turned out:) Maybe I'll actually use it to iron some clothes on instead of just my quilty projects....maybe.
Gorgeous colours - love the polkas, always a favourite of mine. I should probably take this challenge too - except I would be waaaay to embarrassed to show my before pic!!! Now you have something pretty to iron on - motivation to iron?!! HAHA!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Caroline. I love your simple and pretty blog design. I tried for several hours last night to get mine plain white like this so I could put a header up top with some of my sewing and quilting projects. Would it be a possible for you to shoot me an email and point me in the right direction?
ReplyDeleteHere is what it looks like now. It takes away from the content. I have a blog for my Christian book reviews and another for my digital scrapbooking layouts, but my quilting one is new.
